Don't display fumed raku in direct sunlight it can cause the colours to fade.

Fumed pots can be lightly sprayed with a fixative such as artist's clear matt varnish to further preserve the surface colour.

Don't clean fumed pots in water- wipe dust off with a soft dry cloth.

Raku pots are porous and will not hold water.

Glazed raku ware should not be used for food or drink-unless you are actually performing a Zen tea ceremony!
